Advance DOH Inspection Notices

In May of 2025, Mayor Adams’ Administration announced Small Business Forward 2.0, including a key win we fought for, advance DOH inspection notices. Restaurants will now get two email alerts before inspections:

  • 1–5 months ahead
  • 3–6 weeks ahead

Each includes a checklist and tools to self-inspect and improve. Plus, referrals to NYC BEST for free, one-on-one compliance help.
