Delivery Fee Cap & Bogus Charges

The NYC Hospitality Alliance successfully advocated for capping delivery fee caps on companies such as Grubhub and Seamless and imposing fines if these companies charge bogus fees for customer phone calls that never resulted in food orders -- a deceptive and unethical practice we have long criticized. Protecting restaurants and bars from predatory practices by third party delivery platforms is a major victory that will help our industry in the near term, while we continue to advocate for a permanent fee cap. The NYC Hospitality Alliance is fighting to enact and permanent third-party delivery fee cap and other polices to rein-in egregious business practices.
